Camp SEA Lab offers week long day and residential programs that deliver important science concepts in a safe, fun-filled learning environment for youth ages 8-18. Campers have the unique opportunity build Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), take field trips, kayak, whale watch, visit marine labs and research institutions, conduct beach surveys and participate in other field and activity based ocean science adventures. Camp SEA Lab also promotes individual growth and supports campers in community building, increasing self-efficacy, making new friends, and encourages them to find their greater sense of place within our world.

Camp SEA Lab programs vary by location, age and theme. Our camps utilize a wealth of resources throughout the central coast. From slough to sea, Camp SEA Lab partners with multiple marine organizations up and down the coast to provide the best possible program for our participants. Health and safety are always our primary concern, and each site is selected for their commitment to maintain a safe environment. We offer camps along the coast ranging from Monterey to Santa Cruz.

Day camp programs are available for children ages 8-13 and range in theme to explore a multitude of marine habitats, in addition to more specialized programs such as marine technology. Residential camp (over-night) programs are offered for youth ages 10-13 and range in theme to explore different ecosystems as well as looking more in depth at issues such as environmental conservation. Please check out our program descriptions to find the program and location that is right for you and your camper!

Camp SEA Lab also offers Live Aboard Sailing Programs on a 82' schooner for youth 10-16.  There is the option of a 3 day/2 night journey for youth 10-13, or a 5 day/4 night teen program for ages 13-16.  Teens 16-18 also have an option of participating in the SEA Guide Junior Leadership program. The SEA Guides program provides teens with skills based training in leadership, team building, marine science, and working with kids in camp setting.
